Iberdrola, chaired by Ignacio Galán, approved new contracts with Basque suppliers in Bilbao to modernise Spain’s electricity grids and support electrification. The group okayed a €25 million deal with Ingeteam for battery-based energy storage linked to renewables. It also selected Ormazabal to design and supply two mobile substations for temporary grid reinforcement and improved supply continuity.
