Hyundai Motor union stages first full strike in a decade over pay
About 40,000 Hyundai Motor union members are set to join a one-day, first full strike in a decade on Friday, with roughly 3,000 attending a Seoul rally. The walkout follows earlier partial strikes since late July that disrupted production of 55,200 vehicles worth over 2.3 trillion won, as unions seek higher bonuses and job guarantees amid AI and automation plans, including humanoid robots at the U.S. plant from 2028.
