Hyundai Considers Georgia Plant Expansion to 800,000 Units by 2028
Hyundai Motor is weighing a Georgia assembly-plant expansion that could raise annual capacity from 500,000 vehicles to 700,000–800,000 by 2028, CEO Jose Munoz said, though the plan remains under review. Munoz linked the push to tariff-driven localization, with the $7.6 billion Metaplant producing Ioniq EVs and hybrid models and supporting thousands of jobs.
