Hyundai and Kia Use Additive Manufacturing for Faster, Better Vehicle Parts
Hyundai Motor and Kia’s Namyang R&D Center’s Center for Additive Manufacturing Technology (AMSC) replaces compromises in weight, geometry, and performance with advanced additive manufacturing. It runs multiple polymer and metal powder-bed fusion systems, including polymer PBF with vapor smoothing for injection-mold-like finishes, and metal PBF for complex, high-performance vehicle components, while expanding design-for-additive capabilities.
