A Humana Healthcare Research study of 23,000+ Medicare Advantage beneficiaries receiving specialty drugs through CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy found nearly six days faster average access versus non-integrated specialty pharmacies, along with about $106 lower annual out-of-pocket pharmacy costs. A fully integrated model that also includes primary care showed roughly $165 lower annual pharmacy costs, suggesting closer coordination improves speed and affordability.
