Honda Motor’s Xcelerator Ventures is investing in Niron Magnetics to advance its rare-earth-free Iron Nitride permanent magnet technology. The funding is aimed at commercialization, scaling Niron’s manufacturing operations, and expanding adoption of a new magnet materials category for uses spanning automotive, robotics, industrial automation, emerging mobility, AI and data centers, and consumer electronics.
