HMM to Launch India–East Africa Container Service From September
HMM plans to launch a new container service linking India and East Africa in September, using Nhava Sheva and Mundra as hubs. The Gulf-India-East Africa route will call at Dar es Salaam and Mombasa in sequence and start with five 2,800-TEU ships. HMM will co-operate with COSCO Shipping, PIL and Interasia and aims to extend to the Gulf, alongside a fleet expansion plan to 1.47 million TEU by 2030.
