HK, a laser processing equipment specialist, entered Taiwan’s semiconductor supply chain for TSMC for the first time, delivering laser processing equipment to three Tier-1 vendors that supply TSMC locally. HK said its equipment met performance and quality standards during the vendors’ selection. TSMC is also expanding capacity, deciding to invest about ₩42 trillion in advanced process and packaging upgrades and plant construction to meet growing AI-driven demand.
