Hitachi Energy Plans $300m Investment for Transformer Manufacturing in China

Hitachi Energy announced a US$300m investment to build new power transformer manufacturing facilities in China, aimed at expanding supply of critical grid equipment as electricity demand rises. The Hefei project adds to its 11 existing China manufacturing sites and supports a broader US$9bn capacity and R&D plan, including moves to enable integration of more than 900 GW of non-fossil power by 2035.
