Helsing drone tests in Japan as Rakuten brokers military deal

Japan’s Ground Self-Defence Forces are testing Helsing’s HX-2 strike drone while Tokyo modernises its military and counters China’s assertiveness. Field tests run until end-September. Helsing says a local brokerage partner enabled an earlier agreement with the Japanese government, now involving Rakuten, which aims to connect startups with defense procurement needs.
