Health Canada data released June 10 shows 27 plasma-donor incidents were reported at clinics since 2018, including 3 serious reactions resulting in death and others involving hospitalization, life-threatening conditions or medical intervention. Four of six serious reactions tied to facilities now owned by Grifols were reported at Prometic Plasma and Canadian Plasma clinics in Winnipeg and Saskatoon. A revised list shows zero serious adverse reactions in 2024, and fewer incidents elsewhere as classifications changed after Grifols flagged
