Halliburton Wins Petrobras Contract for São Tomé CCS Wells in Brazil
Halliburton and Petrobras are expanding their relationship with a new contract for carbon capture and storage (CCS) infrastructure in Brazil. Halliburton will drill and complete four onshore wells at the Barra do Furado Station for the São Tomé CCS Pilot Project. Operations are planned to start in 2029, followed by three years of CO2 injection and three years of monitoring, supporting a pipeline-to-saline-storage integration described as first in Latin America.
