Grifols Lowers Reported Donor Injury and Death Incidents to Six
Grifols revised its past reports on plasma donors with serious injuries or deaths, saying there were six such incidents at its facilities since 2018, including three deaths in Winnipeg. Health Canada accepted the revised reports under rules requiring notification during or within 72 hours of a donation. Health Canada said the revised totals across operators come to nine after adjustments from Grifols and Hema-Québéc.
