GoPro Agrees to Merge With StarMan Optical in $285M Deal
GoPro signed a definitive agreement to merge with StarMan Optical to recapitalize and reposition the business while keeping GoPro listed on Nasdaq. GoPro shareholders will receive $285 million in aggregate cash ($1.14 per share) and retain about 10% ownership of the combined company. The deal targets a stronger balance sheet, growth investment, and onshore manufacturing for strategic consumer, commercial, and defense markets, subject to approvals with a target close by year-end 2026.
