Google announced WeatherNext 3, an advanced global weather AI model for Search and Gemini, designed to update forecasts from real-time observations to reduce bias in fast-changing conditions. Training with NASA’s GPM satellite precipitation data and Google’s satellite-based reanalysis improves precipitation accuracy, including up to 50% better forecasts when planning a day or more ahead.
