Google to Pay Entergy Arkansas $526M for Cypress Solar Powering West Memphis Data Center
Google will pay Entergy Arkansas $526 million to build Cypress Solar, linked to a West Memphis data center. The deal follows a December commission approval of a special rate contract that was mostly kept secret, prompting a lawsuit by the Democrat-Gazette. Entergy will construct the project in Jefferson County, with $443 million in accelerated payments and $83 million in minimum demand payments, supporting a 600-megawatt solar array and 350-megawatt battery.
