Google Backs PG&E Virtual Power Plant to Enroll Nearly 21,000 Devices
Google and other partners are set to begin working with PG&E this fall on SHARE, a virtual power plant meant to enroll nearly 21,000 existing residential flexible energy devices. PG&E says the program could start supporting the grid later this year, aiming to add capacity, improve reliability, help lower rates, and reduce participating households’ net electricity bills.
