Goodyear’s Turnaround Pressed by Heavy Costs, Cash and Debt
Goodyear is sustaining its Goodyear Forward turnaround while investing heavily, with about $2 billion in capital expenditures in 2024-2025 and expected $725 million this year. Debt stays above $7 billion, and the company posted a $453 million net loss through the first half, alongside $131 million operating income and a 1.6% margin. The plan has cut $1.5 billion in annualized costs, but a $200 million headwind is expected in the second half.
