Goldman Sachs Sees Diesel Refining Margins Rising to $63 a Barrel
Goldman Sachs revised its outlook for refining profits as a global diesel shortage tightens capacity. Analysts cited refinery strikes in the Middle East and Russia and pushed refined-products margins to new highs, with diesel at the center of the rally. The bank now forecasts U.S. diesel margins to reach $63 per barrel in 2027 and $49 per barrel in the EU, alongside Russia extending its diesel export ban.
