GM Commits More Than C$1 Billion to Canadian Plants After Unifor Ratification
General Motors reached a tentative three-year Unifor labor deal that Canadian workers ratified on Aug. 29-30, unlocking more than C$1 billion in new and prior investments across Ontario and covering over 4,600 workers. GM will not immediately sell or close its CAMI plant while studying alternatives, potentially including defense work, and raised full-year guidance again.
