GlobalFoundries Opens US$4B Expansion Fab in Singapore, Creating 1,000 Jobs

GlobalFoundries has officially opened a US$4 billion expansion fabrication plant in Singapore. The 23,000 sqm fab will create 1,000 high-value jobs and add capacity of 450,000 300mm wafers annually, bringing Singapore output to about 1.5 million wafers per year. The cleanroom space includes tools installed since June 2022, with the opening attended by Singapore and GF leaders.
