GlobalFoundries Makes PDKs Available for UX Edge AI Process Platforms

GlobalFoundries announced process design kits for its UX platform family, including 40UX on its 40nm platform and 22UX aimed at edge AI, imaging, and mixed-signal systems. Volume production for 40UX is planned to start at the Singapore site by 2027, with more sites to follow, while 22UX will be made in Dresden. Customers can prototype via GlobalShuttle multi-project wafers through 2027.
