Strong demand for optical networking and data-center build-outs drove GlobalFoundries’ fastest year-over-year growth in the communications infrastructure and data center end market. In June it completed a $455 million acquisition of Synopsys’ ARC Processor IP Solutions to advance its physical AI strategy. The company also used a $375 million U.S. Department of Commerce award to start a Quantum Technology Solutions spinoff.
