Ghana Greenlights Petrobras Talks for Keta Basin Offshore Blocks
Ghana’s Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has approved talks with Petrobras over offshore exploration blocks in the Keta Basin, after Petrobras filed an expression of interest. The step is preliminary, with no payment or final contract yet. Keta is among Ghana’s least-drilled areas and sits off a region where production is declining, as Ghana seeks new international investors.
