Ghana and Nigeria cash flows help MTN Group press ahead with $6.24m buyback
In the first half of 2026, MTN Group received R13.9bn ($830m) in cash from its operating companies, up from R8.2bn a year earlier. Ghana contributed R6.6bn and Nigeria R2.7bn, together 67% of the total, while South Africa provided R2.1bn as it struggled. The inflows supported a $6.24m share buyback despite weak growth at home.
