Geely’s new Chairman An Conghui says Volvo’s European plants will be a key pillar of Geely’s localization strategy, with Geely brands and possibly other models produced under contract manufacturing. The plan includes up to €119 million in investment support and long-term site securing, while Valencia, Spain is set to build two battery-electric SUVs with Ford from 2028; sites and models are still unspecified.
