Geely is preparing a 2027 pilot of solid-state EV batteries rated at 500 Wh/kg, targeting over 1,000 km range and a design life above 1 million km. Road testing of the cells was reported underway by August 2026. Work is led by Zhejiang Green Smart Technology and the Huzhou Yaoning institute, with Dow supplying pack materials and adhesives that withstand extreme temperatures.
