GE Vernova was selected by Quinbrook to provide power conversion, controls and integration technology for Stage 3 of Queensland’s Supernode BESS. The addition of 260 MW/1,216 MWh lifts the single-site total to 780 MW/3,075 MWh, placing it among the largest in Australia’s National Electricity Market. Stages 1 and 2 already use GE Vernova tech, and Stage 3 marks its first grid-forming battery project in Australia.
