GE Vernova Wins Stage 3 Contract for Queensland 780 MW Supernode Battery

GE Vernova was selected by Quinbrook as technology partner for Stage 3 of Queensland’s Supernode battery project, winning sole-provider scope for power conversion, plant controls, system integration and grid-connection support across all three stages. Stage 3 adds 260 MW to reach 780 MW and 3,075 MWh, with support for Generator Performance Standards acceptance. Stages 1 and 2 are already operational, and Stage 3 is GE Vernova’s first grid-forming battery project in Australia.
