GE Aerospace backlog exceeds $210B as LEAP deliveries jump and GTF demand grows
GE Aerospace ended the first half with a backlog above $210 billion. Total engine deliveries rose 31%, led by LEAP deliveries up 41%. Pratt & Whitney’s GTF demand is strong, supported by BOC Aviation’s order for up to 220 GTF engines for A320neo-family jets and another A320neo-family selection from Jackson Square Aviation. Ongoing GTF issues have taken some aircraft out of service for inspections and repairs, tightening supply-chain capacity. As Boeing and Airbus convert backlogs into deliveries, aftermarket maintenance demand rises too.
