Foxconn US Unit Buys Santa Clara Land for AI Expansion
Foxconn’s US subsidiary Q-Edge bought two plots and a factory in Santa Clara, California, spending NT$1.77 billion (about US$55 million) for roughly 10,000 square meters to expand its AI business. The location near major chip makers could enable joint R&D with key clients. Foxconn also increased capital for Q-Edge and is expanding in Taiwan, Mexico and Vietnam.
