Fourth Mid-Sized Methanol-Capable Vessel Joins Maersk Fleet
A.P. Moller-Maersk has taken delivery of the fourth methanol-capable newbuild in its planned series of six mid-sized 9,000-TEU containerships. The ship can run on methanol and conventional fuels and will operate on the Middle East–India to US East Coast route. Maersk’s methanol-capable fleet now includes 12 larger vessels plus these additions, with final deliveries scheduled for next year.
