Fortum said it has filed a state-aid application with the Swedish government to begin talks on terms for a new nuclear power project in Sweden. The planned capacity could range from 1,200 MW to 3,400 MW depending on technology choices, expected electricity demand growth, and risk-sharing arrangements.
