A former TSMC engineer in Taiwan was arrested for running an illicit currency exchange network between Taiwan and South Korea, allegedly diverting cross-border payments for Taiwanese apparel sourcing from 2018. Police conducted searches in multiple districts and seized NT$2.55 million in cash, 1,078 tether coins, and other assets worth about NT$1.03 million.
