NHTSA campaign 26V547 covers 148,663 Mustangs built at Ford’s Flat Rock plant for model years 2024 through 2026. Ford says adhesive from heat-shrink wiring-harness material could intrude and bend a ground eyelet during assembly, potentially causing loss of motive power and failures including headlights, washer, HVAC, radiator fan, and engine cut-off. About 1% of vehicles are affected. Interim notifications begin Sept. 4, 2026, with remedy letters by March 31, 2027.
