FedEx said it will close two California facilities in Palm Springs and Victorville, laying off 116 employees by the end of September. The move follows earlier closures in Emeryville and Oakland that cut 174 jobs. Staples plans layoffs at a La Mirada fulfillment center, while Amazon delivery partners and Essendant also announced additional job cuts and a Perris facility closure.
