Fannie Mae Guaranty Book Falls to $4.134 Trillion in July
Fannie Mae reported its guaranty book declined to $4.134 trillion in July from $4.139 trillion in June as mortgage-backed securities liquidations exceeded new issuance. The roughly $5 billion monthly drop, about 0.1%, followed $7.6 billion more liquidations than issuance. Credit performance weakened slightly, with serious delinquency rates rising by one basis point in both single-family and multifamily segments.
