Eversource’s advanced metering infrastructure supports real-time monitoring, demand management, and improved customer service. In 2025, the company installed more than 100,000 smart meters in Massachusetts and is upgrading over 1.5 million statewide. It plans $5.07 billion of investment in 2026 and about $26.5 billion through 2030, including completing a Revolution Wind onshore substation and starting a $1.8B Cambridge underground substation project.
