Eutelsat Plans OneWeb Expansion With €1 Billion Satellite Order

Eutelsat said it will replenish and expand its OneWeb low Earth orbit network through 2034 after signing a deal with Airbus for 229 additional satellites worth €1 billion. The order follows previous Airbus orders and comes after Eutelsat raised about €5 billion after its OneWeb merger, aiming to better compete with Starlink. It also booked two Ariane launches for 2027 and 2028.
