The European Commission approved Mercedes-Benz China, BMW Brilliance Automotive and Seres Group taking joint control of Beijing IONCHI New Energy Technology (Ionchi). Seres becomes a third joint owner. Ionchi runs public high-power EV charging networks in China, aiming for 7,000+ ultra-fast charging piles across 40+ cities by end-2027, with some exclusive experiences for the partners’ brands.
