Ericsson Japan and University of Tokyo explore AI and connectivity scenarios through 2035

Ericsson Japan launched the Enter New Horizons initiative with the University of Tokyo to study how connectivity and AI could support Japan’s response to demographic change, social infrastructure needs, and economic development through around 2035. The effort began with a two-day co-creation workshop in Tokyo on 9–10 July with Ericsson Japan employees and university students, developing scenarios across manufacturing, infrastructure and energy.
