Mississippi’s Public Service Commission approved a rate plan for Entergy Mississippi, saying new data-center revenue—such as from Amazon—will keep rates below the national average and prevent a projected $4.87 per month July increase. Faster replacement of retired plants is expected to save about $1.3 billion in build materials, while newer gas plants are about 40% more fuel efficient, supporting an estimated $700 million in future fuel-cost savings shared through lower bills.
