Entergy says revenue from Mississippi’s rapidly expanding data center industry helped prevent a summer electric rate increase for Entergy Mississippi customers. The utility links a proposed decrease to revenue generated by large data center operations, crediting it with offsetting costs that might otherwise shift to residential and business customers as older plants are replaced to meet demand for nearly half a million customers.
