A record-breaking World Cup final helped narrow Entain’s first-half losses as net gaming revenue rose 5% to £2.5bn. Online revenue increased 7%, led by the UK and Australia, but the company said higher UK remote gambling taxes drove a year-on-year decline in online underlying earnings. UK and Ireland revenues rose 8%, while BetMGM’s JV reported net revenue up 4% to $1.4bn.
