Engineer Gets AU$40,000 Compensation After Singapore Airlines Reboot Delay
An Australian aircraft engineer has been awarded AU$40,000 after being sacked by Heston MRO over a 17-minute delay to a Singapore Airlines A350 at Brisbane on Nov. 2, 2025. He powered down the aircraft to clear fault messages with the pilots’ agreement, but Singapore Airlines pushed Heston to withdraw his permit despite Heston’s internal investigation finding no protocol breach.
