Energy Fuels said construction has begun on an expansion of its REE separation capabilities at the White Mesa mill to enable large-scale production of heavy rare earth oxides, including terbium. The company previously produced nearly 30 kg of high-purity dysprosium oxide and is piloting gadolinium oxide production, moving it closer to commercializing a full magnet-ready rare earth portfolio.
