The US Army is not pursuing the SIGMA artillery system based on Elbit’s Roem gun, turning down a tactical 155mm tender that could total about $7 billion. Elbit had backed the effort with a Roem production facility in Charleston and noted Roem’s service with the IDF and foreign buyers. The company will review the feedback.
