Colombia’s state-run Ecopetrol has completed its $1.2 billion purchase of a controlling 51% stake in Brazil’s Brava Energia, following a R$23 per share tender. The deal expands Ecopetrol in Latin America’s key oil market, adding immediate output averaging 78,800 boe/d and more reserves, as Brava reported $2.34 billion revenue and $1.05 billion EBITDA over the year to June 2026.
