D-Wave, Rigetti, Quantinuum Win $100M Each in CHIPS Act Grants
D-Wave, Rigetti Computing and Quantinuum each signed definitive CHIPS and Science Act agreements for $100 million apiece with the U.S. Department of Commerce, which will take a minority, non-controlling equity stake as a condition of the grants. The three awards total $300 million, structured as R&D grants. D-Wave will develop a 100,000-qubit annealing system and a 10,000-qubit gate-model system supporting 100 logical qubits.
