Dutch Government Blocks Kyndryl’s Solvinity Acquisition Over Security Law
Solvinity runs infrastructure underpinning DigiD and MijnOverheid, used for access to tax, healthcare, pensions and municipal services. Dutch officials screened Kyndryl’s acquisition and concluded it posed an unacceptable public-interest risk, including concerns about the US CLOUD Act’s reach to data held abroad. The deal was blocked and the prohibition continues amid an administrative challenge after a court refused to suspend the order.
